I am Nicole Torres and I am running for Shrewsbury School Committee in this May election. As a candidate for the Shrewsbury School Committee, my priority is to protect the high standard of education that defines our town. Our schools are the heart of our community, and I am committed to ensuring our budget continues to deliver the superb educational experience our students deserve and our residents demand. In these uncertain economic times, I will provide the steady, transparent oversight needed to balance ambitious academic goals with a deep respect for our taxpayers. Together, we can maintain Shrewsbury’s excellence through smart, fiscally responsible leadership.

Shrewsbury residents demand and deserve a top-tier education system. I am running for School Committee to ensure our budget reflects those values while remaining grounded in fiscal reality. My goal is simple: maintain our superb academic standards through strategic planning and responsible spending, ensuring a bright future for our students even in uncertain times.

To maintain this excellence, we must address the severe overcrowding at Shrewsbury High School. I fully support the expansion of the high school to ensure our students have the safe, functional, and modern environment they need to succeed.
